Hm. am I really the first one to post breakfast on here today?
It’s almost 9 a.m. people, get with the program!
So… some little greedy pig bought ALL of the famous amos chocolate chip cookies out of the vending machine on my floor (6th floor) between 2 a.m. and 8:50 a.m. today (not pointing any fingers) so I was forced to travel to the vending machines on different floors, at which point I found out that not all machines carry the same goods. For ex: the 7th floor machine carries NO Famous Amos cookise but does carry two rows of Pop Tarts, and their Reese’s peanut butter cups come out melted. The 5th floor carries a different variety of Famous Amos cookies (cookies and creme) and unmelted Reese’s cups, 4th floor (gasp!) no vending machine, 3rd floor, no Famous amos… (I could go on but you get the point) that leaves only 2 floors that carry the crunchy Famous Amos chocolate chip cookies. Once I realized their scarcity I admit I purchased a few bags for the road. One of the spares didn’t quite make it to the journey back to the 6th floor thogugh ;( I am actually not joking and that is what is disheartening about this post. Todays’ breakfast consisted of 2 bags of Famous Amos chocolate chip cookies and 2 Reese’s cups, (melted) 1st bag I ate before finding the melted reese’s, 2nd bag of cookies dipped into the Reese’s like a sort of fondu dip. YES it was heavenly.
And 4 sips of Coke Zero.
I am back in bed now wondering if that was a good idea.
By the grace of God I am still going strong but His patience may wear thin one of these days.
I really have to try out that Elijah bread.
greek yogurt!!! 3 days in a row now???
** mom’s biscuits and gravy**
Pancakes, maple syrup and strawberries with the little ones…
Beautiful pictures… stunning… uhmmm I had a roll sammie with cranberry and stuffing. Is that wrong? LOL
I so agree about Black Friday – no thanks! Black Monday? Heck yes!
Today’s breakfast is oatmeal with almond breeze, added banana, pumpkin, ground flax and a healthy dollop of sunflower seed butter. And for fun? 10 grams of butterscotch chips!
A slice of Amy’s cheese pizza and a mini pumpkin muffin with cream cheese frosting
Pomegranate greek yogurt sounds awesome!
This morning I had Ezekiel bread toasted with honey and a glass of chocolate soy milk.
Colin got sick the last couple days, I think I had ezekiel bread with raw honey everyday this week though…this looks amazing, when I am not congested I am gonna try it out…I’ve been seeing alot of pomegrantes around lately
Beautiful picture! Wow! Nice breakfast. I was out shopping for Black Friday, but we did stop for some breakfast, if you call it that! I had 1 1/2 plain bagel with 1 cup of light roast coffee with soy milk.
Corrine will you be my mommy?
You are amazing!!!
Today was moving day. I made coffee and a packet of instant cinnamon and apples oatmeal. My fiance showed up a little early so that we could go get bacon, egg, cheese, and potato burritos on our way to drop off our first load. I threw the oatmeal in the rosebush at our new house. Hee. Had half of the burrito for breakfast and half for lunch with an apple for good measure.
Wedding is in a week!
Yesterday (Friday) was almost a cop out for me.
I ate a banana on the way to work, then had a spot of tea during morning break.
This was a random morning – I met up with old friends at a local bakery and had a vanilla soy latte plus a pumpkin scone. Then, later on I met up with the boyfriend and his friend at a diner and had a piece of whole wheat toast w/2 eggs. Gotta love the holiday randomness!
dh bought a pomegranate this week, can you eat the seeds or do you just suck off the red part and then spit out the seed? sorry, the question sounds dumb, but since i’m online i can still hold my head up when i walk among you unrecognized.
this morning, dad’s version of mom mcmuffins: english muffins, cheese, tomato and sausage under an egg sunny-side-up. and his famous coffee.
This looks delicious! Today I had a coconut smoothie with strawberries and hemp seeds. AFter about a week, you are going to see a trend! I rotate the same things for breakfast…the funny thing is is that I don’t do that for any other meal!
Pumpkin bread and fresh OJ
Kefir smoothie with hemp seeds, bee pollen, bananas, pineapple and papaya. I’m still loving Greek yogurt.
@ Annie, Deliciously Organic, and Noelle: thank you so much! This parfait was fun to make and more fun to eat.
@ Colin…I hope that you are feeling better!!
@ Betsy…congratulations on your wedding!!! That is so exciting. Please tell us all about the food at your wedding.
@ Michelle…not a dumb question at all!! Yes, you can eat the seeds and all. The entire red “seed” is edible and provides excellent fiber. You can spit out the inner seeds and just suck out the pomegranate juice, if you prefer, but that is too much work for me. I like to eat the entire thing. It adds a nice crunch too.
@ Stephanie…I cannot be your mommy, but I can be your adopted Nana who makes snack packs for you.
I had cinnamon raisin Ezekiel bread with raw organic honey and a french press coffee…boo ya
Umm, this doesn’t look like it’d be easy to eat since you’d have to spit out the seeds in the pomegranate. It looks pretty, but that’s about it. Oh and I don’t eat breakfast.
@ Rachel….thank you. Actually, the seeds are entirely edible, and quite tasty.
Oh wow, I never eat the seeds, I just suck out the juice from the aril and spit the seed out. You like eating the seed? Aren’t they hard?
@ Rachel…..yeah, the seeds are good (to me). I like the crunch and my body appreciates the extra fiber
It makes eating a pomegranate a lot easier. Let me know what you think if you try it.
a slice of leftover turkey with a thick slice of homemade sourdough bread toasted with butter.
